The Board of Aakash Exploration Services approved the standalone unaudited financial results for the quarter ended June 30, 2025. Revenue from operations stood at ₹2,385.53 lakhs, down from ₹2,600.62 lakhs in Q1 FY25, a year-on-year decline of about 8%. Total revenue (including other income) was ₹2,414.94 lakhs vs ₹2,653.83 lakhs YoY. Profit before tax fell sharply to ₹71.68 lakhs from ₹162.05 lakhs (a 56% drop), and net profit (PAT) came in at ₹53.77 lakhs versus ₹119.61 lakhs in Q1 FY25, a 55% decline, mainly due to higher employee costs and lower other income. Sequentially, however, both PBT and PAT roughly doubled compared to Q4 FY25. Basic EPS for the quarter was ₹0.05. The statutory auditor, M/s Parikh Shah & Associates, issued an unqualified limited review report on the results.
Sharp year-on-year drop in profits despite only a modest revenue decline signals margin pressure and is a negative read for shareholders, though the sequential improvement in earnings and clean audit opinion suggest operations remain stable. The stock may see some short-term weakness given the steep YoY profit fall.
