ABC India Limited's board approved unaudited results for Q1 FY26 (quarter ended 30 June 2025). Revenue from operations fell to ₹3,787.59 lakhs, down from ₹4,245.36 lakhs in the same quarter last year — a decline of about 10.8% year-on-year. Net profit collapsed sharply to just ₹1.60 lakhs versus ₹117.28 lakhs in Q1 FY25, and profit before exceptional items and tax was a near-zero ₹0.49 lakhs (vs ₹60.72 lakhs a year ago), indicating severe margin compression. The company continues to operate in two segments — Freight & Services and Petrol Pump. The statutory auditors (BDS & Co.) issued an unmodified (clean) limited review opinion. The board also fixed 19 September 2025 as the AGM date for FY25, with 12 September as the cut-off date for e-voting and dividend payment.
A very weak quarter for shareholders — profits have been almost entirely wiped out despite a modest revenue decline, raising concerns about cost pressures and operating efficiency in both freight and petrol pump segments. The stock may see a negative reaction, though the clean audit opinion and ongoing dividend payout (book closure 13–19 Sept) provide some comfort.
