Acme Resources Ltd, an NBFC, posted strong Q1 FY26 results with standalone revenue rising 27% year-on-year to Rs. 121.80 lakh (from Rs. 95.79 lakh) and standalone profit after tax jumping nearly 49% to Rs. 64.55 lakh (from Rs. 43.42 lakh). On a consolidated basis, revenue grew 18% to Rs. 197.61 lakh and PAT climbed 32% to Rs. 118.71 lakh, helped by contributions from two subsidiaries. Standalone EPS stood at Rs. 0.25 versus Rs. 0.17 a year ago. The auditor issued an unqualified review opinion but flagged an emphasis of matter regarding fresh Income Tax Department demand notices of about Rs. 99.64 crore (Rs. 3,541.50 lakh for AY 2015-16, Rs. 6,229.07 lakh for AY 2016-17, and Rs. 193.14 lakh for AY 2023-24), which the company is challenging before CIT(A). Earlier, inventory worth Rs. 543.92 lakh was provisionally attached by tax authorities in FY 2023-24.
Operational performance improved meaningfully on both revenue and profit fronts, with margin expansion supportive of the stock in the near term. However, the large open tax demands and the unresolved inventory attachment are material overhangs that could weigh on sentiment if not resolved favourably.
