Acme Solar Holdings' board, at its August 27, 2025 meeting, approved multiple items. M/s A Prasad & Associates was appointed as Joint Statutory Auditor for a 5-year term (from conclusion of 10th AGM to 15th AGM in 2030), replacing retiring auditors M/s S. Tekriwal & Associates. M/s DMK Associates was appointed as Secretarial Auditor for five years from April 2025 to March 2030. Mr. Shashi Shekhar, a retired IAS officer and former Joint Secretary in the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, was re-appointed as Vice-Chairman and Whole-Time Director for one year effective April 9, 2026. The board also approved a proposal to raise up to Rs. 3,000 crores through equity shares or equity-linked instruments via QIP, FPO, private placement, or a combination. The 10th AGM is scheduled for September 29, 2025, where shareholder approval will be sought for these items.
The proposed Rs. 3,000 crore fundraise may lead to equity dilution but gives the company flexibility to fund solar energy expansion. The auditor change appears to be routine AGM rotation and the director re-appointment is continuity, so neither is likely to materially move the stock. Watch the AGM outcome for shareholder response on the fundraise size and mode.
