Acme Solar Holdings, through its wholly-owned subsidiary ACME Sun Power Private Limited, has commissioned the first phase of a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project in Rajasthan. The first phase accounts for 33.335 MW/160.48 MWh out of the total 300 MW/1400 MWh capacity. The commercial operation date for this first phase is set for March 8, 2026. The remaining capacity is expected to be commissioned in subsequent phases. The project is located in Village Badi Sid, Tehsil-Bap, Phalodi and Jodhpur, Rajasthan.
This is a positive development as it marks the beginning of revenue generation from a large-scale BESS project, though only about 11% of the total project capacity has been commissioned so far.
