Acme Solar Holdings, through its wholly owned subsidiary ACME Suryodaya Private Limited, has commissioned the fifth phase of its Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. This phase adds 76 MW / 160.512 MWh of capacity, with a commercial operation date of April 8, 2026. With this milestone, the subsidiary has now commissioned 247 MW / 521.652 MWh out of the total 285 MW / 601.904 MWh project, meaning about 87% of the project is now operational. This is part of a phased commissioning process that began in late February 2026.
The near-completion of this large BESS project strengthens Acme Solar's revenue-generating capacity in the energy storage segment, which is a growing area supported by India's renewable energy push. Shareholders can view this as a positive operational update, though the commissioning was already partly anticipated through earlier phase announcements.
