Acme Solar's wholly owned subsidiary ACME Pokhran Solar has commissioned an additional 19.8 MW of its 50 MW wind power project in Shapar, Gujarat, taking the total commissioned capacity to 46.2 MW. Full commissioning is expected within the next few days. This is the company's maiden wind power project, with power sold under a 25-year PPA with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited. The project is financed by Power Finance Corporation and built through Acme's in-house EPC arm. With this, Acme Solar's total operational renewable energy capacity has risen to 2,826.2 MW, out of a total portfolio of 6,970 MW.
Positive for shareholders — addition of new revenue-generating capacity from Acme's first wind project, with margin-accretive in-house EPC execution and long-term PPA visibility. Expansion into wind diversifies the company's earlier solar-heavy portfolio.
