Adani Energy Solutions reported strong Q3 FY26 operational performance. It won the KPS III (Khavda South Olpad) HVDC transmission project, taking total order book to Rs 77,787 crore and expanding its transmission network to 27,901 circuit km. The North Karanpura Transmission Line (299 ckm) was fully commissioned during the quarter, with system availability held steady at 99.69%. In its Mumbai distribution arm (AEML), distribution loss improved to 4.22% in YTD FY26 from 4.91% a year earlier, though total units sold dipped slightly to 2,487 MUs from 2,574 MUs due to seasonality. The Mundra distribution utility (MUL) posted a sharp 57% YoY jump in units sold to 371 MUs, driven by industrial demand. In smart metering, the company installed 18.88 lakh new meters, reaching 92.5 lakh cumulatively and is on track to surpass its 1 crore meter guidance for FY26. S&P Global's CSA score improved to 80/100, placing it in the top 9 percentile of global electric utilities.
The new HVDC order win and record order book signal strong revenue visibility for the transmission business, while the improving distribution losses and high collection efficiency point to steady cash generation. However, the slight dip in AEML volumes and peak demand may raise short-term revenue concerns for the distribution segment. Overall, the update is largely positive, reinforcing the company's growth pipeline.
