The board approved FY25 consolidated results with revenue from operations at Rs 97,894.75 crore, up about 1.5% year-on-year, while net profit from continuing operations more than doubled to Rs 8,017.95 crore from Rs 3,334.04 crore a year ago. The big jump was supported by a Rs 3,945.73 crore exceptional gain from selling a 13.51% stake in AWL Agri Business (formerly Adani Wilmar) through an offer for sale. The board has recommended a dividend of Rs 1.30 per share (130%) on the Re. 1 face value for FY25, with the record date set as 13 June 2025 and payment on or after 30 June 2025, subject to shareholder approval at the 24 June 2025 AGM. Separately, the board approved a proposal to raise up to Rs 15,000 crore via equity shares or other securities through modes like QIP, private placement, or preferential issue, also subject to shareholder and other approvals. Statutory auditors issued a qualified opinion on the consolidated results, flagging ongoing MCA and CBI investigations into alleged fund misuse of Rs 845.76 crore at subsidiary Mumbai International Airport (MIAL).
Strong earnings and a dividend are positives, but the Rs 15,000 crore fund raise plan could dilute existing shareholders, and the qualified audit opinion on MIAL-related matters remains a regulatory and sentiment overhang.
