Adani Green Energy achieved a landmark milestone by adding 5,051 MW of renewable energy capacity in FY25-26, making it the highest greenfield annual capacity expansion globally by any company, excluding China. The new capacity includes 3,409 MW of solar, 686 MW of wind, and 956 MW of wind-solar hybrid power. The company's total operational portfolio now stands at 19.3 GW. Most of this capacity was commissioned at the world's largest renewable energy plant in Khavda, Gujarat, spread across 538 sq km (five times the size of Paris). AGEL also brought online 1,376 MWh of battery energy storage systems at Khavda. The company is progressing towards its target of 50 GW by 2030.
This positive operational update demonstrates Adani Green's execution capabilities and strengthens its position as India's largest pure-play renewable energy company, which could be favorable for investor sentiment.
