Adani Green Energy reported strong Q1 FY26 results with operational capacity rising 45% year-on-year to 15.8 GW after adding 1.6 GW in the quarter. Energy sales grew 42% to 10.5 billion units, revenue from power supply rose 31% to INR 3,312 crores, and EBITDA jumped 31% to INR 3,108 crores at an industry-leading 92.8% margin. Cash profit increased 25% to INR 1,744 crores. The company has 36.5 GW of locked-in capacity (31.5 GW under PPA), 16 GW under execution, and is on track for a 5 GW addition in FY26, targeting 50 GW by 2030. Gross debt stood at INR 78,000 crores with borrowing cost at 9.1-9.2%, and management is exploring refinancing to bring down costs. Minor transmission challenges at Khavda impacted less than 5% of EBITDA. Solar CUF came in at ~28% due to early monsoon, while wind CUF was exceptionally strong at 42.3%.
The strong quarterly performance, record capacity additions, and visible 36.5 GW pipeline reinforce AGEL's growth trajectory and execution credibility. Investors should watch transmission evacuation timelines at Khavda and management's upcoming BESS and storage strategy announcements as potential catalysts.
