Adani Green reported strong FY26 results with revenue of INR 11,602 crores (up 22% YoY) and EBITDA of INR 10,865 crores (up 23% YoY), achieving an EBITDA margin of 91.2%. The company added 5.1 GW of capacity during the year, reaching a total operating portfolio of 19.3 GW - the highest greenfield annual capacity expansion globally outside China. Energy sales surged 34% YoY to 37.6 billion units. Management disclosed that curtailment caused EBITDA losses of INR 1,500 crores in FY26, which is expected to reduce significantly going forward. For FY27, the company plans to add 4.5-5 GW of capacity (100% PPA-backed) and ramp up battery storage to 10 GWh, requiring capex of approximately INR 40,000-42,000 crores. The company maintained its 50 GW by 2030 target and disclosed future contracted PPA rates of INR 2.60-2.80 for solar and INR 3.70-3.80 for wind.
Strong execution with 35% capacity growth and 91%+ EBITDA margins demonstrates operational excellence. While curtailment caused INR 1,500 crore EBITDA hit in FY26, management expects improvement as transmission constraints ease and more capacity converts to long-term PPAs. The company's 10 GWh battery storage expansion plans provide a hedge against future curtailment risks.
