Adani Green Energy reported strong operational performance for FY26 with total operational capacity reaching 19.3 GW, a 35% year-over-year increase from 14.2 GW. The company added 5.1 GW of greenfield capacity in FY26 (1.5x the 3.3 GW added in FY25), including 3,412 MW of solar, 683 MW of wind, and 956 MW of hybrid plants, primarily at its Khavda complex in Gujarat. Energy sales jumped 34% YoY to 37,567 million units, driven by robust capacity additions and high plant availability (99.2% for solar, 95.6% for wind, 98.5% for hybrid). The company also operationalized 1,376 MWh of battery energy storage capacity at Khavda. For context, FY25 revenue was Rs 9,495 crore with EBITDA of Rs 8,818 crore at 91.7% margin. AGEL is targeting 50 GW capacity by FY30.
The 35% capacity growth and 34% increase in energy generation demonstrate AGEL is on track with its expansion strategy. Strong plant availability and consistent outperformance against PPA commitments (107-114%) indicate operational efficiency. However, this update confirms existing plans rather than providing new positive surprises, so impact on stock may be neutral to modestly positive.
