Adani Green Energy Limited has commercially operationalized 1,990 MWh of Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects and a 50 MW solar energy project at Khavda, Gujarat. The BESS projects were commissioned through three step-down subsidiaries. With these additions, AGEL's total operational renewable generation capacity stands at 19,785.8 MW and total operational BESS capacity at 3,366 MWh. The decision to operationalize was taken at 9:30 PM on May 25, 2026, with commercial operations starting May 26, 2026.
This capacity expansion strengthens Adani Green's operational portfolio and could contribute to future revenue growth. The increase in BESS capacity is particularly notable as energy storage becomes increasingly important for grid stability and renewable energy integration.
