Adani Power has incorporated Progressive-UP Atomic Energy Limited (PUAEL), a step-down wholly owned subsidiary, through its wholly owned unit Adani Atomic Energy Limited (AAEL). PUAEL was set up on June 25, 2026 in India to generate, transmit and distribute power from nuclear and atomic energy. It has an authorized capital of Rs. 5 lakh divided into 50,000 equity shares of Rs. 10 each. APL indirectly holds 100 percent in PUAEL via AAEL. No regulatory approvals were needed and the consideration is cash.
Signals Adani Power's entry into nuclear power, aligning with India's nuclear energy push. Nominal initial capital, so limited near-term financial impact but adds long-term growth optionality.
