Adcon Capital Services reported strong Q1FY26 results with total income of ₹93.10 lakhs, up about 98% from ₹46.99 lakhs in the same quarter last year, driven mainly by higher interest income (₹93.10 lakhs vs ₹40.36 lakhs YoY). Profit before tax more than doubled to ₹64.66 lakhs (vs ₹22.94 lakhs), and net profit jumped to ₹48.39 lakhs from ₹17.14 lakhs, a rise of roughly 182% YoY. EPS stood at ₹0.02 versus ₹0.01 in Q1FY25. However, finance costs of ₹22.17 lakhs appeared this quarter (nil in the previous periods), suggesting fresh borrowings. The statutory auditor (M/s Maheshwari & Co.) issued an unmodified limited review report but flagged in an 'Other Matter' that interest income has not been recognized on certain outstanding advances, and adequate information was not available to quantify it.
Sharply higher revenue and profits year-on-year are positive for shareholders, but the new finance costs and the auditor's note about unrecognised interest on outstanding advances are points worth watching, as they could affect future earnings quality.
