Add-Shop E-Retail, which operates in the Animal Food Products segment, reported a weak Q1 FY26. Revenue from operations fell about 27% year-on-year to Rs 2,941.22 lakhs from Rs 4,036.12 lakhs in Q1 FY25. Profit after tax dropped sharply by roughly 82% to Rs 20.95 lakhs from Rs 115.20 lakhs in the same quarter last year, with EPS at Rs 0.07 versus Rs 0.41. Total expenses were largely lower due to reduced purchases of stock-in-trade, but margins came under pressure, with operating profit before tax falling to Rs 28.86 lakhs. The statutory auditor (K M Chauhan and Associates) issued an unmodified review report, and the company confirmed no defaults on loans or debt securities. Only one investor complaint was pending as of 30 June 2025.
A steep drop in both revenue and profits is likely to dampen near-term sentiment on the stock. Investors should watch whether the slowdown is seasonal or reflects a structural weakness in the animal food products business.
