CRISIL Ratings has reaffirmed the credit ratings for Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Limited across its various debt instruments. The long-term rating remains CRISIL AA+/Stable (high safety, very low credit risk) and short-term rating remains CRISIL A1+ (very strong degree of safety). The company requested withdrawal of ratings on bank loan facilities worth Rs. 1,967 crore, which were also rated AA+/Stable and A1+ before withdrawal. Ratings on remaining bank facilities of Rs. 873 crore, commercial paper of Rs. 500 crore, and non-convertible debentures totaling Rs. 1,250 crore were all reaffirmed. The withdrawal of certain bank facility ratings appears to be a routine refinancing or banking relationship change rather than a credit concern.
The reaffirmation of strong investment-grade ratings (AA+ and A1+) indicates continued creditworthiness and low default risk. The withdrawal of ratings on specific bank facilities at the company's request is neutral for shareholders as it reflects refinancing decisions rather than financial distress.
