Advait Energy Transitions has bagged a Letter of Intent from Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL), a state government entity, to set up a 150MW/300MWh Standalone Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project in Gujarat. The order was secured under a tariff-based competitive bidding process (Phase-VIII) with Viability Gap Funding support through PSDF. The pricing is Rs 2,10,000 per MW per month (inclusive of taxes), and the project must be executed within 18 months of the Battery Energy Storage Purchase Agreement. Based on the tariff, the approximate value of the order works out to around Rs 57 crore over 18 months.
This is a meaningful new order from a credible government counterparty, strengthening Advait's order book in the growing BESS/EPC segment. GUVNL backing with Viability Gap Funding reduces payment risk and signals continued policy push for energy storage in India, which is positive for the stock.
