Aelea Commodities has executed a new credit facility sanction letter with State Bank of India (SBI) for an aggregate amount of Rs. 29.15 crore. The facility is split into three parts: Rs. 1.15 crore towards an existing term loan, Rs. 20 crore to take over an existing cash credit facility from HSBC Bank, and Rs. 8 crore as an enhancement of credit limits. The facilities are secured by a pari passu charge on current assets, plant and machinery (rooftop solar), a flat in Mazgaon, Mumbai, and personal guarantees from three promoters/directors. The working capital portion is for 12 months (annual renewal) while the term loan has a 54-month tenure. The transaction is not a related-party deal.
Neutral to mildly positive for shareholders. The company has consolidated and slightly expanded its working capital borrowing (Rs. 8 crore increase) by moving its banking relationship from HSBC to SBI, which may offer better terms or continuity. No new equity dilution or related-party concerns flagged.
