Aequs Limited has invested INR 14 crore in Aequs Toys Private Limited (ATPL), its wholly owned subsidiary, through a rights issue by subscribing to 1.4 crore shares at INR 10 per share. The investment is being funded using proceeds from the company's IPO completed in December 2025. ATPL operates in the toys manufacturing and sales business, reporting a turnover of INR 9.14 crore for FY 2024-25, down from INR 10.43 crore in the previous year. The subsidiary posted a loss after tax of INR 31.72 crore and has a net worth of INR 43.27 crore. The funds will be used to meet ATPL's working capital and operational requirements. There is no change in shareholding as ATPL continues to be a wholly owned subsidiary.
This intra-group investment deploys IPO proceeds to support a loss-making subsidiary in the toys business. While the transaction is immaterial to Aequs Limited given it maintains full ownership, it signals continued capital commitment to an entity with declining revenues and significant losses.
