Afcom Holdings, a Chennai-based air cargo company listed on the BSE SME (Emerge) platform, voluntarily released its Q1 FY26 results even though SME-listed firms are not required to publish quarterly numbers. Revenue from operations jumped to Rs. 11,888.90 lakhs from Rs. 3,986.18 lakhs in the same quarter last year — roughly 3x growth (about 198% YoY). Profit after tax surged from Rs. 62.16 lakhs to Rs. 2,706.96 lakhs, an over 40-fold increase, lifting EPS to Rs. 10.89 from Rs. 0.34. The big jump is largely driven by the company's dry-lease aircraft operations that commenced in December 2024. Operating cash flow stayed healthy and positive at Rs. 1,160.89 lakhs, reserves grew to Rs. 22,257.93 lakhs, and statutory auditor PPN and Company issued a clean limited review report with no qualifications.
Strong top-line and bottom-line expansion should be viewed positively by shareholders, though investors should note that the comparison base (Q1 FY25) was very small and the surge partly reflects scaling of the newly launched dry-lease business rather than steady-state performance. The clean auditor report and positive operating cash flow support confidence in the numbers.
