Ahluwalia Contracts, an engineering and construction company, posted Q1 FY26 revenue of Rs. 1,00,488 lakhs, up about 9% from Rs. 91,935 lakhs in the same quarter last year. Profit before tax jumped roughly 68% to Rs. 6,946 lakhs (from Rs. 4,146 lakhs), and net profit after tax rose to Rs. 5,111 lakhs versus Rs. 3,060 lakhs, a growth of about 67% year-on-year. Standalone EPS stood at Rs. 7.63, compared to Rs. 4.57 a year ago. The contract work segment continues to be the main contributor to revenue, while consolidated results were largely in line with standalone figures. The statutory auditor (Amod Agrawal & Associates) issued an unmodified limited review opinion on both standalone and consolidated results.
Strong profit growth and improving margins on a healthy revenue base signal solid operational performance for the quarter, which is likely to be viewed positively by investors. The clean audit opinion and absence of any exceptional items add further comfort for shareholders.
