Ajax Engineering shared its Q3 and 9M FY26 results via an investor presentation. Q3 FY26 revenue fell 21% YoY to ₹4,335 Mn against a strong base, while Adjusted EBITDA dropped 46% to ₹477 Mn and PAT declined 44% to ₹382 Mn. Adjusted EBITDA margin contracted sharply by 510 bps to 11.0%, hit by higher production costs for new CEV-5 emission-compliant machines, product mix changes, and one-time marketing expenses. For 9M FY26, revenue grew a modest 2% to ₹13,449 Mn but Adjusted EBITDA margin fell 420 bps to 11.5% with PAT down 23% at ₹1,302 Mn. Management cited extended monsoon, emission norm changes, slower project execution, and customer cash flow challenges for the weak quarter but maintained long-term confidence, citing government infrastructure push, growing mechanization, and plans for price adjustments to aid profitability from FY27.
Near-term sentiment may be weak given sharp YoY profit declines and margin compression, but management's reaffirmed FY27 margin recovery guidance and strong industry tailwinds (24% mechanized equipment market CAGR through FY29) could support the stock over the medium term.
