AKI India Limited's Board, meeting on May 15, 2025, approved the receipt of the 2nd tranche consideration for 1,46,73,782 convertible warrants out of the total 1,74,41,782 warrants issued on a preferential basis at Rs. 18.71 per warrant (including a Rs. 16.71 premium). The 2nd tranche brought in Rs. 1.96 crore from three allottees — Muhammad Asim (Rs. 1.26 crore), Mohammad Tahir (Rs. 11.23 lakh), and Prabodh Sharma (Rs. 59.03 lakh). Two allottees — Managing Director Mohammad Ajwad and Aviral Sharma — did not pay the 2nd tranche for their allotted warrants. The warrants were originally issued under Chapter V of the SEBI ICDR Regulations to promoter/promoter group and non-promoter categories.
The 2nd tranche strengthens the company's near-term capital position by about Rs. 2 crore. However, two allottees, including the Managing Director, skipping the 2nd tranche payment means their warrants may not be converted, leaving a gap versus the originally planned issuance. Shareholders should watch for any further tranche updates or disclosures on lapsed warrants.
