Akums Drugs reported FY26 revenue of INR4,359 crores (up 5.8%) with adjusted EBITDA at INR522 crores (up 13.3%) and margin expansion to 12% from 11.2%. Q4 saw particularly strong performance with EBITDA up 61.6% YoY to INR152 crores and margins at 13.1%. The CDMO segment drove growth with 8.6% revenue increase to INR3,485 crores, while the API business continued to report losses (negative INR40 crores) though improved from prior year. Management guided for sustained double-digit volume growth in H1 FY27, expects API losses to reduce sharply, and targets 8-10 international CDMO customers in 2-3 years. The company has a EUR200 million European contract expected to contribute EUR35 million annually from FY28, and a $25 million Zambia supply deal from Indian facilities in FY27.
Strong operational performance with margin expansion and multi-year growth visibility from European CDMO and Zambia partnerships provides a positive outlook for shareholders, though API segment turnaround remains a key monitorable.
