The Board of Alfred Herbert (India) Ltd approved unaudited standalone and consolidated financial results for the quarter and nine months ended 31 December 2025. The company operates in one segment — investing in immovable properties, fixed deposits, securities, and non-banking financial activities. A major one-time gain of around Rs 48,047 lakhs (net of transaction costs of about Rs 430 lakhs) was recognised during the quarter ended 30 June 2025 from the sale of the company's immovable property at Whitefield, Bengaluru, shown as an exceptional item. During Q3 FY26, the company also partially disposed of another investment property, booking a net profit of about Rs 919 lakhs. Fair value gains on investments were Rs 107.86 lakhs for Q3 and Rs 319.58 lakhs for the nine-month period. Statutory auditors ALPS & Co. gave an unmodified (clean) limited review conclusion on both standalone and consolidated results.
The nine-month results are heavily boosted by the large one-time exceptional gain from the Bengaluru property sale, which should significantly inflate reported earnings compared to the prior year. Shareholders should note that underlying recurring income is much smaller and may not reflect sustainable run-rate profitability. Clean auditor opinion is a positive, but stock reaction will depend on how the market views the non-recurring nature of the property-sale windfall.
