Alicon Castalloy has announced the transition of its Chief Executive Officer role effective 31 March 2026. Mr. Rajeev Sikand, the incumbent CEO, has relinquished his position due to superannuation (retirement). Mr. Sumit Bhatnagar, who was serving as CEO-Designate, has formally taken over as CEO and KMP from the same date. Bhatnagar is a senior automotive industry professional with over 26 years of experience, having previously served as Group President of ANAND and Managing Director of ANEVOLVE. He is not related to any board directors and holds no shares in the company. The departing CEO, Mr. Rajeev Sikand, holds 5,08,638 shares in the company.
This is a routine leadership transition driven by retirement, not a sign of governance concern. The incoming CEO brings deep automotive sector experience, which could be positive for execution continuity. However, the large shareholding of the departing CEO may warrant attention regarding future selling pressure.
