Allcargo Logistics reported a mixed performance for May 2025 across its three business segments. FCL (Full Container Load) volumes grew 6.3% year-on-year to 56,684 TEUs, with growth seen across all major regions. Air freight volumes rose 4.4% YoY to 3.06 million kilos, also up 12% compared to April 2025, with growth in North America, Latin America and Europe. LCL (Less than Container Load) volumes, however, declined 3.7% YoY to 728,000 cubic meters, though they improved 3% month-on-month. Container utilization fell compared to last year, in line with weaker LCL volumes, while 40-feet container usage remained flat. The company flagged continued volatility from geopolitical disruptions and trade tensions, expecting LCL demand to stay uncertain.
Mixed signals for investors: FCL and Air segments are expanding, but the LCL decline and softer container utilization point to pockets of weakness. Watch for whether geopolitical headwinds deepen the LCL slowdown or whether the FCL/Air momentum sustains in coming months.
