Alphageo (India) Limited has informed the stock exchanges that it is sending reminder letters to shareholders who still hold shares in physical form, asking them to update their KYC details with the company's Registrar and Transfer Agent, KFin Technologies Limited. As per SEBI's master circulars, shareholders need to furnish PAN, nomination, bank account, email, mobile number, and signature details to keep their folios active. Shareholders with incomplete KYC will not be able to raise grievances with the RTA or receive dividend, interest, or redemption payments, which are now processed only electronically from April 1, 2024. The company has also reminded shareholders that physical share transfers have been banned since April 1, 2019, and encouraged conversion to demat form. The intimation has been filed under Regulation 30 of the SEBI Listing Regulations.
This is a routine regulatory compliance communication with no direct impact on the company's financials or stock price. However, shareholders holding physical shares should update their KYC promptly to avoid missing out on future dividend payments and shareholder services.
