Altius Telecom Infrastructure Trust has informed BSE that CRISIL Ratings has withdrawn its A1+ rating on the Trust's Commercial Papers (CPs). This is because the Trust fully redeemed all outstanding CPs during the previous financial year and had no CPs outstanding as on March 31, 2025. With no CP instrument left to rate, CRISIL withdrew the rating vide its press release dated May 22, 2025. The original rating was A1+, which is the highest short-term credit rating category. The filing is made under SEBI's InvIT regulations.
This is a routine procedural update rather than a negative signal. The rating withdrawal is a consequence of the Trust having fully repaid its commercial paper borrowings, which actually reflects debt reduction. Shareholders need not worry — the rating wasn't downgraded, it simply became unnecessary.
