CRISIL Ratings has reaffirmed the highest safety rating of CRISIL AAA with a Stable outlook on Altius Telecom Infrastructure Trust's existing debt portfolio, covering about Rs. 17,320 crores of Non-Convertible Debentures (NCDs) and Rs. 5,600 crores of bank loan facilities. In addition, CRISIL has assigned a fresh CRISIL AAA/Stable rating to a new NCD issue of Rs. 1,550 crores, and also rated a proposed new term loan of Rs. 2,155 crores at the same top grade. The Corporate Credit Rating of the Trust was also reaffirmed at CRISIL AAA/Stable. Banks involved in the rated term loans include ICICI Bank, Axis Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, and IndusInd Bank.
This is a positive/neutral signal for unit holders — the Trust retains the highest possible credit rating (AAA) with a stable outlook across all its debt, reflecting strong ability to meet financial obligations. The new Rs. 1,550 crore NCD rating indicates the Trust is raising fresh debt at top-grade terms, likely favorable to existing investors as it supports growth funding without credit quality concerns.
