Amara Raja Energy & Mobility reported Q1 FY26 revenue from operations of Rs 3,349.92 crore, up 13% from Rs 2,973.85 crore in the previous quarter (Q4 FY25). Profit before tax rose 16% QoQ to Rs 261.01 crore from Rs 224.36 crore, with EPS at Rs 10.60. Growth was driven by strong OEM demand in 4W and 2W segments, healthy aftermarket volumes, and a 13% growth in the industrial UPS/data centre segment. The new energy business grew on the back of stationary segment volumes, with the Giga Factory-1 in Telangana progressing on schedule. Year-on-year, PBT was lower compared to Rs 328.66 crore in Q1 FY25, though revenue was up from Rs 3,131.19 crore.
Solid sequential improvement in both revenue and profitability signals improving demand momentum, particularly in automotive OEM and industrial segments. Positive for shareholder sentiment, though YoY profit decline and dependence on the giga factory's timely execution remain key things to watch.
