Amarjothi Spinning Mills reported weaker Q1 FY26 results on both standalone and consolidated basis. Standalone revenue from operations fell to Rs 4,881.7 lakhs from Rs 5,960.13 lakhs in Q1 FY25, a decline of about 18%. Net profit dropped to Rs 254.58 lakhs from Rs 322.16 lakhs, down roughly 21%, translating to EPS of Rs 3.77 vs Rs 4.77. On a consolidated basis (including wholly-owned subsidiary RPJ Textiles), revenue fell more sharply to Rs 5,254.42 lakhs from Rs 7,874.20 lakhs, a drop of about 33%, while net profit slipped to Rs 259.77 lakhs from Rs 328.61 lakhs. Total expenses also declined, indicating lower operating activity. The statutory auditor issued an unmodified limited review report with no qualifications or emphasis of matter.
Shareholders should note a clear year-on-year slowdown in both top line and bottom line, with the consolidated subsidiary dragging overall revenue further. The lower finance costs and contained expenses prevented a sharper profit decline, but the trend is negative and may weigh on short-term sentiment.
