The Board approved unaudited standalone and consolidated financial results for Q1 FY26 (quarter ended 30 June 2025). Consolidated revenue from operations was nearly flat at Rs. 4,033.88 lakhs vs Rs. 4,069.66 lakhs in Q1 FY25, but total income rose to Rs. 4,869.69 lakhs helped by a large one-time 'provision no longer required' of Rs. 664.64 lakhs in other income. Net profit jumped sharply to Rs. 822.35 lakhs (EPS Rs. 1.07) from Rs. 34.71 lakhs (EPS Rs. 0.05) a year ago. On the segment side, Pharmaceuticals revenue grew about 9.5% to Rs. 2,546.42 lakhs with much stronger profitability, while Electronics revenue declined around 15% to Rs. 1,487.46 lakhs. Statutory auditors (Sorab S. Engineer & Co.) issued an unqualified limited review report. The Board also constituted a new Pharma Committee of three directors to oversee the pharmaceutical business.
The headline profit jump is largely driven by a one-time provision reversal rather than core operations, so investors should look at profit before exceptional items (Rs. 795.38 lakhs, still a strong rise) for a cleaner read. The mixed segment picture - Pharma doing well, Electronics weak - and the new pharma-focused committee suggest the company is prioritising its pharmaceutical business going forward.
