AI summary

Ambika Cotton Mills has commissioned the expansion of 6,048 spindles for manufacturing specialty yarn, which it had announced earlier. The company now proposes to add another 6,480 spindles at an existing factory building, expected to be commissioned in May 2026. Together, the total capacity addition of 12,528 spindles (including solar capacity for captive use) will cost around Rs. 57 crore. This will be fully funded through internal accruals, with no debt being raised. After this expansion, the company's total spindle capacity will rise to 120,816 spindles.

Likely market impact

The expansion strengthens Ambika's position in specialty yarn and adds renewable energy capacity for self-use, supporting margins. Since the capex is funded entirely from internal accruals, there is no dilution or debt burden on shareholders. The phased commissioning through May 2026 means revenue benefits will build up gradually.
