AMFI June data: Equity mutual fund inflows jump 26%, mid-cap, small-cap funds steal the show

Equity mutual fund net inflows rose 26 percent month-on-month to about Rs 28,973 crore in June, up from Rs 22,908 crore in May, driven mainly by mid-cap funds at Rs 6,090 crore and small-cap funds at Rs 5,602 crore. Cumulative equity inflows in the first half of calendar 2026 reached around Rs 1.80 lakh crore, about 12 percent higher than H1 CY2025, reflecting resilient domestic investor participation despite market volatility. The overall mutual fund industry saw a net outflow of Rs 52,949 crore due to Rs 1.09 lakh crore withdrawals from debt schemes, while industry AUM rose to Rs 82.22 lakh crore.
