Andhra Petrochemicals reported Q2 FY26 revenue from operations of Rs. 16,764 lakhs, up sharply from Rs. 10,429 lakhs in Q2 FY25 (~61% YoY). Half-year revenue rose to Rs. 30,910 lakhs versus Rs. 23,391 lakhs in H1 FY25 (~32% YoY), driven by higher cost of materials and power & fuel expenses. The company swung to a Q2 profit after tax of Rs. 214 lakhs (EPS Rs. 0.25) compared to a loss of Rs. 363 lakhs last year, but H1 FY26 still posted a loss after tax of Rs. 627 lakhs because of the Rs. 930 lakh loss booked in Q1 FY26. Cash flow from operations was negative Rs. 3,105 lakhs for H1 FY26, while the long-pending Visakhapatnam Port Authority land lease matter continues in court.
Strong top-line growth and a return to quarterly profit are positive signs, but persistent H1 losses and negative operating cash flow remain concerns for shareholders. The ongoing VPA land lease dispute is a key overhang on the stock.
