Anjani Foods reported Q1 FY26 standalone revenue of Rs 1,365.74 lakhs, up about 17% year-on-year from Rs 1,168.68 lakhs. However, standalone profit after tax fell sharply to Rs 7.81 lakhs from Rs 30.05 lakhs in the same quarter last year, hit by a Rs 28.92 lakh goodwill impairment booked as an exceptional item. Consolidated results, which include subsidiary Senta Foodwork, showed revenue of Rs 1,537.06 lakhs (up ~17% YoY) but slipped into a consolidated loss of Rs 2.96 lakhs versus a Rs 25.96 lakh profit a year ago, dragged down by losses at the subsidiary level. Total expenses climbed faster than revenue, with raw material costs rising notably, pointing to margin pressure. EPS on a standalone basis dropped to Rs 0.03 from Rs 0.11. The auditor M. Anandam & Co. issued a clean limited review report with no qualifications.
Despite healthy topline growth, weak bottom-line performance and goodwill impairment signal stress on profitability; investors should watch for margin recovery and subsidiary performance before the stock re-rates.
