Antony Waste Handling Cell's material subsidiary, Antony Lara Enviro Solutions, has won two ~15 MW Waste-to-Energy plant contracts from the New & Renewable Energy Development Corporation of Andhra Pradesh (NREDCAP), a state government undertaking. Each project is valued at approximately ₹1,600 crore, totaling around ₹3,200 crore over a 20-year concession period. The plants, to be built in the Kadapa and Kurnool clusters, will have a ~24-month construction timeline and will sell power to APSPDCL at ₹8.10 per unit. Once operational, the projects will expand AWHCL's clean energy portfolio to ~44 MW and mark the company's entry into Southern India. The contracts involve processing municipal solid waste through a Material Recovery Facility before incineration in the WtE plants.
This is a very large order win — roughly multiples of AWHCL's annual revenue — that significantly strengthens the company's order book, provides long-term revenue visibility over 20 years, and diversifies earnings into renewable energy. Positive for stock sentiment and long-term valuation.
