The collapse was attributed to exceptionally heavy rainfall destabilising the waste mound; municipal waste collection services remain unaffected and assets are insured. The company has announced Rs 25 lakh per bereaved family, employment to an immediate family member, and coverage of medical and educational expenses, with financial impact still under assessment.
