Antony Waste shares in focus after waste mound collapse at Pune facility; workers feared trapped

Antony Waste Handling Cell reported a waste mound collapse at its PCMC Waste-to-Energy plant in Pune after continuous exceptionally heavy rainfall destabilised the mound, causing debris to fall on the administration building and trapping about 16 workers. Rescue operations are underway involving NDRF, Indian Army, fire brigade, and PCMC officials, with the company providing medical assistance to the injured. The company stated the plant was under scheduled maintenance shutdown, limiting personnel on site, and that no immediate material impact on operations has been identified so far.
