Awaiting price reaction for this filing.
SEPL Energy Private Limited, the Sponsor of Anzen India Energy Yield Plus Trust, sold 20,00,000 units of the Trust (10,00,000 on BSE and 10,00,000 on NSE) through on-market transactions on March 27, 2026. The transaction value disclosed is approximately Rs. 25 crore. As a result, SEPL Energy's holding in Anzen dropped sharply from 37,25,000 units (1.46%) to 17,25,000 units (0.67%), cutting its stake by more than half. The disclosure was filed under SEBI's Prohibition of Insider Trading (PIT) Regulations via the Investment Manager, EAAA Real Assets Managers Limited, on March 30, 2026.
A sponsor trimming its stake by over 50% on-market is generally a soft negative for the unit price in the short term, as it signals reduced sponsor skin-in-the-game. However, since the sale is a transparent, on-market, regulatory-disclosed transaction, it is more likely a portfolio rebalancing than a distress signal; investors should watch for any further sponsor sales.
