SEPL Energy Private Limited, the Sponsor of Anzen India Energy Yield Plus Trust, sold 26,25,000 units of the Trust on March 24, 2026 through on-market trades — 11,50,000 units on BSE and 14,75,000 units on NSE. The total value of the sale was approximately Rs. 32.81 crore. As a result, SEPL's holding in the Trust reduced from 3.85% (98,50,000 units) to 2.83% (72,25,000 units), a drop of about 1.02 percentage points. The disclosure was filed by the Investment Manager under SEBI's Prohibition of Insider Trading (PIT) Regulations.
The Sponsor cutting its own unit holding by over 1 percentage point on-market may be viewed negatively by existing unit holders, as it reduces the Sponsor's 'skin in the game'. The supply of 26.25 lakh units could also create short-term price pressure on the Trust's listed units.
