Apcotex Industries reported Q2 FY26 revenue of ₹336.69 crores, down about 4% YoY (from ₹351.06 crores), but net profit surged over 3x to ₹25.30 crores from ₹7.59 crores YoY. For H1 FY26, revenue rose ~3.6% YoY to ₹712.46 crores while PAT jumped ~73% to ₹44.46 crores, driven by lower raw material costs and operational efficiency. The Board also approved a ₹210 crore capital expenditure to add 37,000 MTPA Synthetic Latex and 14,600 MTPA Nitrile Rubber capacity at the Valia, Gujarat plant, expected to come on stream by Q1 FY27. Results include a ₹5.75 crore one-time exceptional gain from sale of an old office premises. Auditor Manubhai & Shah LLP issued a clean, unqualified opinion.
Sharp profit growth on nearly flat revenue points to strong margin expansion, which is positive for shareholders. The ₹210 crore capex signals confidence in future demand but will be partly debt-funded, which may keep leverage elevated in the near term. Overall, the mix of margin improvement and growth capex is a constructive signal for the stock.
