Apex Capital and Finance Ltd reported a sharp decline in full-year FY25 earnings. Total income from operations fell to Rs. 277.65 lakh from Rs. 1,029.02 lakh in FY24, a drop of about 73%. Profit after tax for the year dropped to Rs. 52.51 lakh from Rs. 448.87 lakh, while basic EPS came in at Rs. 0.89 versus Rs. 7.58 last year. Total assets rose sharply to Rs. 7,914.18 lakh (from Rs. 3,237.62 lakh) mainly due to a big jump in loans on the books. The statutory auditor M/s Mahesh Kumar & Company issued an unmodified (clean) opinion. The company also appointed M/s Vandana Tarika & Associates as Internal Auditor for FY26.
Sharply weaker FY25 earnings, a steep drop in revenue, and negative operating cash flow point to stress on the core business. However, a large capital infusion of Rs. 4,750 lakh through unsecured borrowings/share warrants has strengthened the balance sheet, which may support future lending growth.
