Apex Frozen Foods reported strong Q3FY26 results with net revenue rising 15% year-on-year to Rs 264.3 crore, driven by higher shrimp sales to the European Union and improved average realizations on the back of firm global shrimp prices and a favorable currency. EBITDA jumped 147% to Rs 17.3 crore with margins expanding 344 basis points to 6.5%, while profit after tax surged nearly 19 times to Rs 10.1 crore from a low base. For 9MFY26, revenue grew 23% to Rs 760.8 crore and PAT rose over 15 times to Rs 31.1 crore, with EBITDA margin at 6.9% versus 3.5% last year. The company highlighted that lower farmgate and raw material prices, along with cost control measures, drove the sharp profitability improvement. The US tariff on Indian shrimp was cut to 25% effective February 7, 2026, from 50% earlier, which is expected to support US volumes. Borrowings have been steadily reduced from Rs 166.8 crore in March 2022 to Rs 40.6 crore in September 2025, with net debt-to-equity falling to 0.05 times.
Strong revenue and profit growth, expanding margins, and the recent US tariff reduction are positive for shareholder sentiment and could support the stock. Continued debt reduction also strengthens the balance sheet and reduces financial risk.
