Apis India Ltd has received a formal subsidy approval dated March 13, 2026 from the Ministry of Food Processing Industries (MoFPI) under the CEFPPC scheme of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Sampada Yojana. The total project cost is ₹4.91 crore, of which ₹1.66 crore will come as government grant/subsidy. The company plans to set up a new fruit and vegetable processing unit (for Jam) in Roorkee, Uttarakhand, with a proposed capacity of 2,400 MT per annum. The subsidy is subject to fulfilment of certain terms and conditions stipulated in the sanction letter. This funding will support the company's expansion in the food processing segment and strengthen its manufacturing capabilities.
Positive for shareholders — the ₹1.66 crore government grant (roughly 34% of project cost) lowers the company's capital outlay for the new jam processing facility, supporting margin-accretive capacity expansion in the food processing business.
