APL Apollo Tubes has raised Rs 400 Crores through the issuance of Commercial Papers (CPs) in two equal tranches of Rs 200 Crore each. Both tranches were allotted on July 7, 2025, with maturities of 67 days and 77 days respectively, maturing in September 2025. The CPs carry interest rates of 6.10% and 6.14%, and were subscribed by reputed mutual funds — HSBC Liquid Fund and Nippon India Liquid Fund. Both issuances carry the highest short-term credit rating of [ICRA] A1+, and will be listed on BSE.
This is a short-term debt raise for working capital needs, not equity dilution. The top-tier A1+ rating and low interest cost (~6.1%) reflect strong creditworthiness, which is positive for shareholders. No material impact on share price is expected as this is routine short-term borrowing.
