Indian Bank has appointed M/s Shanmugam Rajendran & Associates LLP, a Chennai-based peer-reviewed firm of Practicing Company Secretaries incorporated in 2017, as its new Secretarial Auditor for a five-year term covering FY 2025-26 to FY 2029-30. The appointment was approved by shareholders at the bank's 19th Annual General Meeting held on June 17, 2025. Consequently, the previous secretarial auditor, M/s V Gopalan & Associates (which served for FY 2024-25), has ceased in this role. The new firm has experience in corporate law, securities law, banking, FEMA, secretarial audits, and compliance matters.
This is a routine governance change with no material impact on shareholders or the stock price. The previous auditor completed its one-year term and was replaced through the standard AGM approval process.
